Laurie Maves ARTsy holiday VLOG

Denver artist, Laurie Maves Art paints Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours"

For Monday's blog we will take a little trip down memory lane.

First I made this LOVED-based painting in my Denver studio:

"Look into your heart and you will find
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE
It's our god forsaken right to be
LOVED LOVED LOVED..."Jason Mraz.

Then some dear friends of mine took the painting on a road trip:

and then people were inspired, and happy and danced and sang.

Happy Monday to you.
Keep spreading it.

Laurie Maves ART's Ode to "Vincent" & Starry Night

This painting was created live on the starry winter night of December 4, 2013. I was hired by CECFA (Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority) to paint this during the evening of their holiday party at the Artwork Network gallery in the Santa Fe Arts District, Denver, Colorado.  I have always loved  vanGogh since I was a small child. This painting came like water to me. I know my work is no where near the mastery of Vincent's, but I still love his story.  And I understand how painting helps excise the demons from one's soul.
